We had a great time visiting Nana in Virginia. While we were in Virginia we were lucky enough stay with the Whibley’s and DeGunther’s. It was amazing to see Caroline and Emory, they have gotten so big and they are absolutely brilliant! Joel was head over heels! It was so nice for Joel to have a chance to play with other kids. It was fantastic that we ordered a delicious pizza… it was my first take home pizza in about 6 months! It was so nice to catch up with everyone over dinner. It sounds like Meredith and John are really enjoying living in Richmond. Luckily, Rod’s leg was feeling better and he even joined us in the den to hangout. Josh came in and we were able to catch up with him.It sounds like he is really loving his new job. Terry was awesome and we planned a great dinner out at a fun restaurant in Norfolk. It was so fun to go out and eat… it is one of the things that I miss most about the USA. We rarely go out to eat here so it was fun to get served dinner. In addition, the menu was pretty great! We were able to pig out on nachos and HUGE sandwiches and fries. It was delicious! Joel was also lucky enough to go to the park with his Aunt Bo-Bo. It turns out she is an amazing slider. Joel is still asking about all the people he go to see and hangout with.
Joel loved going to see Nana. He thought she was fantastic! They had so much fun eating together and walking around Nana’s new digs. Joel and Nana both loved the buttered bread. We even took Nana and Joel to the Virginia Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center. They both had a great time. Joel kept asking Nana if he could ride on her wheel chair. He also wanted to borrow Nana’s oxygen mask… we had to explain to Joel that it was not a toy. We finished off the great trip with a super yummy visit to the Museum Restaurant. I think that Joel and Nana both had fun eating some junk food.
Overall, it was a great trip!
