August 7, 2010: Annecy France
We headed out of town on Saturday, August 7th with the baby and the dog towards the amazing town of Annecy, France (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annecy ). This was a GORGEOUS town that was a Fodor’s Choice city. As always, Fodor’s did not let us down! (Thanks again, Lauren!)
The city had mind boggling scenery! It had a lake surrounded by soaring, snowcapped mountains and huge parks. We walked around the city and enjoyed the lake, the medieval city, and the mountains. We had a ball! Joel and Ross rode on the carousel. Joel loved the ride, Sullivan worried about them. It was so sweet; he just whined and barked until they got off.
Annecy is trying to get a Winter Olympic Bid. Needless to say, Ross and I are pulling for it! I am also thinking that it could be fun to visit Albertville, France on another weekend trip.
The scenery is beautiful it is good reminder of how much God cares for us and the key thing is to know that God loves us and His son Jesus the Christ died for our sins so we would not have to pay the price.
